Gods and Idols is an MMORTS where you play as a god in a bid to dominate the universe.

Gods and Idols is free to download, and free to play. If you want to support us there is a shop where you can purchase Essence, a resource used for many things in the game.

NEWS: New resources, new buildings. A fresh start!Jun 8th 2014
The world is ending! The universe is ending! Well, at least the test universe for for Gods and Idols which will be rebooted to accommodate significant changes including both gameplay alterations and bugfixes.
Most of the resources have been reworked to promote more transparency and a better flow in growth - unnecessary complexity really just causes confusion and its been our philosophy to center on what's fun and impactful for the player.
Part of player impact comes from timeliness, in getting what you want when you want, and as such, buidlings now impact production speed. Being able to keep up with food production has also become a more important aspect to manage, with the return from good regulation to be hightened and the penalties for starvation increased.
The UI has also been improved, further optimized to increase the game speed and several major bugfixes have been put in. And of course, the quit message no longer appears upside down.
