What have I been doing?
Spent the week rewriting and adding the last few bits of the new network layer. It is amazingly beautiful to work with.
Security updates are all complete for now.

Interface stuff
The next step is a major rewrite of the UI backend, this will result in a much more responsive UI as well as futureproof and maintainable code.
On this note though, I'm looking for a dedicated tester/person to bounce ideas off of and to help test new UI features as they happen. If you're interested just post a reply to this topic (Or send an email to jobs@godsandidols.com), keep in mind that it would mean a few hours a week tediously looking at UI elements being moved a pixel over ;)

What's next?
Holding off on the TCLI update until the new UI is complete, I see no reason to push out a TCLI update that gives no additional gameplay for you guys. TCLI will hopefully update in 1-3 weeks as UI backend completes.
One of the major things coming to TCLI is a ''Player reset'' option that will remove any planets or fleets you have and give you back any Essence you've ever purchased or earned. This should make it much easier for you guys to test features. Note that this Essence ''re-gain'' only exists for TCLI, not MCLI.

Ill help you out with the UI stuff jatt but i feel that to get a good opinion might be best if we had 2 or 3 test helpers get better variety of opinions and such. Ill hop onto irc in a day or two i think i have the flu at the moment going around pretty heavy in the area and i feel awful but just tossing up a post to let you know what i think o/ .

sorry this is off topic but is it ok if i make a lets play of gods and idols when its finished and i help find bugs

An updated Terms of Use is coming ''soon'' that should make things more clear in regards to let's play videos, video monetizing etc.

But basically:
You're free to make videos of Gods and Idols.
You are free to monetize those videos with ads, as long as you created the video (obviously)
That said, videos that contain personal attacks (Verbal or otherwise) on other players or people, or contain questionable material (porn, racism, etc), will be taken down using the appropriate channels.

Short version:
Yeah you can make videos, and put ads on them, just don't be a dick :)


Oh, and when you make a video, feel free to post it on the forums!
